Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation, a charitable organisation focused on improving health, required a full AV system health check at their office, The Grain House in London. The foundation’s routes to impact include Impact on Urban Health, an initiative dedicated to tackling health inequalities in cities. Ensuring their AV systems were reliable and efficient was essential to supporting their mission and day-to-day operations.

The Client’s Challenge

The foundation had been struggling with an AV setup that failed to meet their operational needs. Poorly integrated technology was causing connectivity issues, and outdated, unsupported systems limited functionality and security. A previous system had delivered solutions that lacked reliability, leaving the organisation with persistent technical problems and challenges in resolving these, causing disruption to their workflow. With these ongoing challenges, the foundation needed a robust and future-proof AV solution to support their work effectively.

Our Solution

To address these challenges, we conducted a comprehensive health check across all AV systems. Outdated software and firmware were upgraded to the latest versions, improving security, stability, and unlocking new features. We also rectified any areas that posed health and safety risks, ensuring the system was safe and fully functional. Strategic enhancements were made to optimise the system’s overall performance and longevity, providing the foundation with a seamless and reliable AV experience.

Installation Process

Our team took a structured approach to the installation, prioritizing accessibility, reliability, and ease of use. Front-serviceable wall mounts were installed for the front-of-room monitors, making maintenance easier while enhancing security. The existing AV system was re-cabled and clearly labelled, improving usability and reducing the risk of technical failures. Redundant cables and unnecessary components were removed, streamlining the system to ensure better performance and easier long-term management.

Following the upgrades, Guy’s & St Thomas’ Foundation now benefits from a safe, secure, and highly reliable AV system. The improved installation ensures a seamless and dependable AV experience, allowing teams to conduct meetings without technical disruptions.
