Tell us a bit about your work history: My engineering career started when I was an electrical apprentice. That gave me multiple opportunities to explore other engineering paths including hydraulic engineering working on oil rigs and building maintenance engineering for 5* Hotels. I then found my passion for Audio Visual Engineering, which I have been doing for nearly 3 years.
What does your typical working day look like? Having prepped as much site information as I can before a visit, my typical day would be attending a site and meeting the client. This could involve liasing with them to either troubleshoot/fix an issues experienced on-site or doing a routine maintenance visit of the equipment to ensure it’s reliable, easy to use and in optimal working order.
What’s your favourite thing about your job? My favourite part of my job is interacting with different people and the variety of different sites I get to encounter. I also enjoy the balance of working individually and part of a team, and the variety is great and keeps things fresh.
What do you think are the three biggest skills you bring to work? I think I bring genuine care, passion and reliability to my role, the company, team and our clients.
What are the key ingredients you think help create a happy workplace? Teamwork and positive feedback are really important for a happy workplace, and building that perfect team built on the right attitude.
Outside of work, where are you happiest? I am happiest spending time with my partner, family, friends and going out for walks with our dog Dash.
Name one interesting fact people might not know about you:I like to ride my Harley (when I’m not fixing it ) and I enjoy training Muay Thai. I enjoy traveling and I’m always looking to explore as much of the world as I can.
