Tell us a bit about your work history:

I started my career in purchase ledger roles, where I gained an understanding of financial processes and attention to detail. I started studying towards an AAT qualification, during this time I then progressed to an assistant management accountant position, focusing on Transport function within the building merchant’s sector. This role allowed me to further develop my accounting knowledge and strengthen my Excel and analytical skills, providing a strong foundation for my ongoing career in finance.

What does your typical working day look like?

I am new to WSAV but really looking forward to getting stuck in.

What do you think are the three biggest skills you bring to work?

Attention to detail – I take pride in producing accurate and high-quality work.

Environmentally driven and process focused – I’m always looking into ways to improve efficiency and sustainability within the workplace, streamlining processed and reducing unnecessary paperwork where possible.

I am a strong team player; I’m passionate about contributing positively to a team and working together to achieve shared goals.

What are the key ingredients you think help create a happy workplace?

I believe a happy workplace is built on respect, patience, and a good sense of humour! You spend a big chunk of your time with your work family, so being able to support one another, stay positive, and not take things too seriously helps create a friendly and productive environment.

Outside of work, where are you happiest?

I’m happiest spending quality time with my son, playing games and getting outside whenever we can! I also value time with my friends, whether it’s a bottomless brunch or simply catching up and putting the world to rights.

Name one interesting fact people might not know about you:

A few years ago, I took part in the Isle of Wight challenge, raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support. I walked 56km across half the island in a day, it was a tough challenge but so rewarding being able to support a charity that’s very close to my heart.
