Tell us a bit about your work history:

I bring over 35 years of experience in the audiovisual (AV) industry, having held various sales roles across leading distribution companies. Throughout my career, I have developed a deep understanding of AV technologies and market dynamics, consistently delivering results in both business development and client relationship management.

What does your typical working day look like?

A typical day involves managing the full procurement process — from coordinating supplier bids to finalising purchasing decisions. I liaise closely with Project Managers to arrange kick-off calls, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned before project delivery begins. A key part of my role is overseeing logistics to guarantee that all AV equipment is deployed and delivered to site on schedule, supporting seamless project execution.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?

What I enjoy most about my role is the people I work with — both the dedicated internal team and the clients we support. I'm also proud to be part of a company whose ethos aligns with my own values: collaborative, forward-thinking, and committed to excellence. Being part of a leading AV integrator means I'm constantly involved in innovative, high-impact projects, which keeps the work both exciting and rewarding.

What do you think are the three biggest skills you bring to work?

With over 35 years in the AV industry, I bring a well-established network of contacts across manufacturers, suppliers, and integrators. This long-standing experience allows me to navigate the market efficiently, identify opportunities quickly, and build strong, trusted partnerships.

I have a meticulous approach to planning, documentation, and execution — ensuring every aspect of a project, from procurement to delivery, is handled with precision. This focus on detail helps avoid costly oversights and supports seamless project delivery.

I have strong negotiation skills, developed through years of working with suppliers, clients, and partners. I’m confident in securing the best possible terms while maintaining positive, long-term relationships — contributing directly to both cost-efficiency and client satisfaction.

What are the key ingredients you think help create a happy workplace?

For me, it comes down to trust, good communication, and feeling part of a team. When people are open, supportive, and all working toward the same goal, it makes the day-to-day more enjoyable. It also helps when there's a bit of humour, a shared sense of purpose, and you know your efforts are appreciated.

Outside of work, where are you happiest?

I'm happiest when I’m out on the golf course, spending quality time with my sons, or catching up with friends. Whether it’s making memories with family or just enjoying a good laugh while socialising, that’s what recharges me the most.

Name one interesting fact people might not know about you:

When I was 14, I was the British BMX champion! I raced competitively across the UK and Europe, sponsored by Mongoose and my Dad’s company — some of my best memories growing up.
